I've officially had my first 'order'. By that I mean cookies not for my immediate family to enjoy. They are; however, for my sister to take to her fiance's grandmother & uncle's birthday party this weekend. My sister bought the bags to package them in and offered to pay for my materials. I guess technically this doesn't count as my first official order though because I'm not really getting paid. In her words...."Let's be real Kate, I'm your sister, I'll never pay you for your time". Great, I've got four younger sisters who will probably be my biggest customers.
This was my first time using any of these cookie cutters. I was too tired to research design ideas for any of them. I winged all of the designs, but realized I should have looked up some photos of the birthday cakes and presents. I'm not too fond of how they turned out, but they're done and that's that. I do; however, love the cupcakes and party hats. The icing on the cupcakes looks more purple in real life than in the photo.
I hope they enjoy them this weekend! Believe it or not, I've only ever eaten one cookie out of all the batches I've made. Good thing I've got my husband who's a willing taster!
