Friends

T-minus 2 days until I make the call to our fertility doctor to order the meds to start IVF and instead of looking toward the future, I find myself in a reflective mood.

We spent the day with our wonderful friends, Kristan and Travis, and their precious daughter Molly. Some people have this misconception that when you can't have children being around people with their own children is difficult. Well, it is. But not because you're thinking about the whole 'unfairness' of the situation, but instead because it makes you realize how bad you want to share in the parenting experience with them. We want to know what it's like to fall in love with our own child. What it's like to know their every sound and what it means. It's the inevitable feeling that we're being left behind. We pray that our friends aren't tired of babies by the time we finally have one. You know what I'm talking about. Like that friend that has a wedding after you've just been to 5 friend's weddings. Sure you're happy for them, but you find yourself thinking "Holy cow ANOTHER wedding!". :)

We are so grateful for our friends. The ones with children and without. They have offered guidance, advice and support. And oh my gosh....that support. We couldn't have pulled through the last two years without The Coles, the Joyners, the Herins, and the Cremins. Words cannot express how much everyone one of you has meant to us. Whether we talk to you everyday or see you twice a year! Thank you for everything! We love you all!
